Get to know MullenLowe: The Fresh Faces

MullenLowe would like to say a massive welcome to our new team of talented interns! They are a multi-national group from three continents. They are humorous, intelligent and hard-working. We have written a short bio on each of them and asked a few questions, to get a better sense of their personalities. Let’s meet this bunch of interesting characters.

Eva Favre

This is Eva, she’s 22 years old and comes from the city of love: Paris! When she was 18 years old, she travelled to South Africa, Thailand and Zanzibar. This is her third time in the exiting city of Cape Town.

She has trouble saying the word sheet without sounding rude. She loves red wine but refuses to drink it unless it’s accompanied by a wheel of camembert.

What is the most played song on your phone/streaming service/in your car now?

Turn your lights down low – Lauryn Hill and Bob Marley.

If you could work remotely from any city in the world, where would you go?

From Michamvi in Zanzibar.

All-time favourite movie?

Fight Club.

If you were not in advertising, what would you be doing?

Journalist.

Pineapple on pizza? Yay or nay?

Yay, I like to mix sweet and salty food.

First thing you do when you get home?

Listen to some music with a baguette, camembert and red wine.

Alastair McLeod

Alastair is from Sunny Durban. He graduated from Vega with a major in Copywriting. His greatest accomplishments include eating two large pizzas in one sitting and gaming for 44 hours straight. He went into advertising because bad ads make him unreasonably angry. He is an all-round delight.

What is most played song on your phone/streaming service at the moment?

Cry of the Black Birds by Amon Amarth.

If you could work remotely from any city in the world, where would you go?

Edinburgh.

All-time favourite movie?

Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back.

If you were not in advertising, what would you be doing?

Exploring deep space, saving puppies from burning buildings and famous rock star.

Yay – fight me.

First thing you do when you get home?

Put on the kettle.

Jamirys Craveiro

Jay is a 23-year-old graphic designer/art director with an interest in packaging design, illustration, branding and layout design. She’s originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil but immigrated to South Africa at a very young age. She graduated with a BA Honours in Communication (Graphic) Design from the University of Johannesburg in 2018.

Jay plans on furthering her studies, then lecturing as she is passionate about telling people what to do.

What is most played song on your phone/streaming service at the moment?

New Faces by Mac Miller (ft Earl Sweatshirt and Dash).

If you could work remotely from any city in the world, where would you go?

New York City.

All-time favourite movie?

More of a series person and it’s definitely Atlanta.

If you were not in advertising, what would you be doing?

I would be a trap star.

Pineapple always belongs on pizza.

First thing you do when you get home?

Cuddle with my dog.

Victoria Atkins

This is Vicky. When I asked her to write a little something about herself, she told me to go away as she had more important work to do. I’m reasonably sure she moonlights as an arsonist. She walks dogs and they obey her because she’s a dominant alpha female.

What is most played song on your phone/streaming service at the moment?

A toss-up between In Your Honor or Walk by the Foo Fighters.

If you could work remotely from any city in the world, where would you go?

New York, although if I was working remotely, I would probably be bankrupt in about a week.

All-time favourite movie?

The 1994 Lion King.

If you were not in advertising, what would you be doing?

Professional animal mind reader and translator. Ask no questions.

I truly believe you are a psychopath if you actually enjoy pineapple on pizza.

First thing you do when you get home?

Dance with my dog, usually to my very own lead singer, Olaf the cat. He’s a talented guy, we are lucky to have him. This is all done with a backdrop of any music that was playing in my car. Sorry neighbours.

Luxolo Stofile

Say hello to Luxolo. He’s currently in third year doing a National Diploma in Marketing at Cape Peninsula University of Technology. He’s a snappy dresser with a keen eye for detail. Luxolo is an all-round nice guy and already adding huge value to our clients’ brands. The future looks bright with peeps like him on our team.

Samthing Soweto – Isphithiphithi.

If you could work remotely from any city in the world, where would you go?

Antananarivo, Madagascar.

Terminator 1,2 and 3.

If you were not in advertising, what would you be doing?

Social Science.

I greet family and ask them about their day.
